Doctoral Candidates from the HumanIC project will be participating in the European Researchers’ Night. This is a large-scale public event that takes place annually on the last Friday of September (26.09.2025). Funded by the European Commission, it’s designed to bring research and researchers closer to the public and to showcase the diversity of science and its impact on daily life. Universities, research centers, museums, and other institutions across Europe open their doors to the public for free to share their work and engage with their communities.
During this time our Doctoral Candidate will be presenting their work in the following locations:
- Dorsa Rabizadeh, Vasco Vasconcelos, Kunal Bairwa, and Rahmat Rizal Andhi will attend Pomeranian Science Nigh. The event will be hosted by Gdansk Medical University and it will be joined by HumanIC Coordinator, Anna Bogdan and Marcin Michalski from Warsaw University of Technology. Their station, titled “Air for the patient, comfort for the doctor – about ventilation that matters”
- Denise D’Elia will be participating in the European Researchers’ Night in Madrid, Spain. Her station, titled “What Is Unseen by the Eyes“
- Muhammad Tayyab Waheed, is set to present at the European Researchers’ Night in Coimbra, Portugal. His station, titled “Human-Centric Indoor Climate for Healthcare Facilities (HumanIC)” and “Interactive Simulation Tool for Indoor Air Quality”
- Fang Hou will be participating in the Swedish Researchers’ Friday (ForskarFredag) 2025 festival. Her station, titled “The Invisible World We Breathe: Engineering Healthy Air —a Detective Journey Through Home, School & Hospital”
- Hassan Kotb, will attendat the European Researchers’ Night in Coimbra, Portugal. His station, titled “The Role of Frequent Operating Room Door Openings in Increasing BCPs and Practical Solutions to Reduce Them”
- Jixuan Bao will be participating at ScienzaInsie institution in Stockholm. Her station, titled “Varying air distribution methods assessing cross-infection risks in a double-bed patient room: A chamber study”
- Tani Angiero will be attending in the European Researchers’ Night in Madrid, Spain. Her station, titled “Beyond the Visible: Airflow as an Ally Against Infections in the Operating Room”
- Jiyeong Jung will be participating in activity at the University of Leeds during their annual Light Night event. Her station, titled “The Light You Cannot See: Visualising Exhaled Breath and Thermal Environments”
