Associated Partners of the HumanIC Project

Associated Partners in Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) projects are crucial collaborators that significantly enhance the project’s impact and scope, albeit without direct financial support from the EU grant. These are legal entities, such as businesses, research institutions, or non-governmental organizations, that bring valuable expertise, resources, and infrastructure to the project consortium.

The HumanIC project unites eight Associated Partner organizations across various European countries;

Halton Group (Halton), headquartered in Finland, is a global leader specializing in indoor air solutions for demanding environments. Their expertise spans commercial and public spaces, healthcare facilities, laboratories, professional kitchens (including ventilation for restaurants), energy production sites, and marine vessels

Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Charité) is one of the largest university hospitals in Europe. Charité is internationally renowned for its excellence in clinical care, research, teaching and training. The Charité is the joint medical faculty of Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Charité extends over four campuses, and has over 100 different Departments and Institutes, which make up a total of 17 different Charité Centers.

ActivTek MEDICA sp. z o. o. (Activtek), a Polish subsidiary of the international AERUS Holding LLC, provides advanced systems for eliminating microbiological hazards in air and on surfaces. As the exclusive distributor in the Polish medical market, ActivTek MEDICA utilizes ActivePureRCI – Radiant Catalytic Ionization active disinfection technology.

REHVA (REHVA), the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations, founded in 1963, represents over 120,000 HVAC professionals across 26 European countries. It serves as a platform for international networking and knowledge exchange, aiming to enhance health and comfort through improved indoor environments.

Drees & Sommer (D&S), a German-based international consulting firm, specializes in the construction and real estate sectors. Their services encompass development and process consulting, infrastructure consulting, project management, engineering, and real estate consulting, supporting diverse projects from conception to operation.

Avidicare AB (Avidicare), a Swedish medtech company, focuses on airborne bacteria and virus contamination management in hospitals. Their flagship product, Opragon, is a comprehensive system designed to reduce airborne bacterial contamination, particularly in infection-sensitive surgeries, ensuring ultra-clean air and optimized working conditions while conserving energy.

Industria Project sp.zo.o (Industria), a Polish healthcare engineering, planning, and design firm, leverages the expertise of physicians, nurses, and engineers (including constructors, architects, and telecommunication specialists) to create specialized medical facilities. Founded in 2016, it combines medical and construction industry insights.

Granlund Oy (Granlund), a Finnish firm with roots as Insinööritoimisto Olof Granlund Oy, specializes in construction and real estate services. Their offerings include building services design, energy and real estate consulting, construction supervision, real estate software solutions, and housing company management. As a market leader in Finland for building services design, Granlund significantly impacts indoor environmental factors like temperature, humidity, lighting, and energy usage.
